Apple Classroom Tips

As we continue to utilize the technology to engage the students, there are times when it does not work as seamlessly as we all would like. As great a tool as Apple Classroom can be, it is not perfect. Several of the most common issues are easily resolved with little effort. Please see the issues listed below and how to correct them.

The first thing to remember is to change the wifi on your device from BJPWLAN to IPAD Student Wireless.

If the students all show as offline, simply delete the application and reinstall it from the App Store.

If only a few students are showing as offline, there are 3 things that can be done to correct the issue and they take under 1 minuete each.

1.Toggle the Bluetooth off and on

Go to Settings on the students iPad, tap on the Bluetooth option on the left side and simply turn off and on.

2.Perform a Forced Restart

This action will correct many issues with the iPads. A forced reset is not simply turning the unit on and off, rather as the name implies it results in resetting the device. Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

3.Reset Network Settings

To perform this, you will go to the settings; general, scroll to the bottom to where it says “Transfer or Reset iPad”. You will tap the option, then tap Reset and on the pop-up option screen, choose “Reset Network Settings”

If any of these three steps do not resolve the issue, please send us a support request including the students name, as we may need to re-push a profile to the iPad.
