iPad Wi-Fi Troubleshooting
Follow these troubleshooting instructions if you are having trouble connecting to your home Wi-Fi Network
Please ensure that "Airplane Mode" is off and that the Wi-Fi is toggled on in the iPad settings. Follow these steps below to troubleshoot your Wi-Fi. Before you begin, please ensure you have a stable internet connection on other devices connected to your Wi-Fi network. If other devices are experiencing connectivity issues, skip to step 3.
Step 1 - Reboot your iPad
- Press and hold the top button until the power off slider appears.
- Drag the slider, then wait for 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
- To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.
Step 2 - Forget your Network
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the circled "i" right next to your home Wi-Fi name.
- Choose "Forget This Network".
- Go to Settings > Safari.
- Scroll down to Advanced > Website Data & tap on Remove All Website Data.
- Connect to your home Wi-Fi as your first time connecting to it.
- In Safari navigate to belenjesuit.org
- If the Belen Jesuit website shows up, your Wi-Fi is working!
Step 3 - Reboot your router
- Unplug your Wi-Fi router and your modem.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Plugin your modem, then plug in your router.
- Wait for the globe light to come on (if your router has one).
- Make sure your iPad can see the Wi-Fi name and join the network.
- Check the internet connection with a known good device connected to the same Wi-Fi, if you're not able to access the internet with the known good device, please contact your Internet Service Provider.
- If you can browse the internet with a good know device but not with your iPad contact the Tech Team at support@belenjesuit.org.
